iOS LF Lending Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

(Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012)

LF LENDING SERVICES CORPORATION. (SEC Registration [NO.CS202001294], Certificate of Authority NO. 3225), operating under the name “LF Lending” in the Philippines, prioritizes the protection of your personal data in all our lending-related services. We urge you to carefully review this Privacy Notice to understand the scope, manner and purpose of our personal information processing. This notice is formulated to ensure that your personal data is processed in strict compliance with the Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012, DPA) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), as well as relevant financial regulatory requirements for lending institutions.

By accessing, registering an account, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice. Where required by law or platform policy, we will request your specific consent before collecting or processing certain categories of personal data.

This Privacy Notice takes effect at 00:00 on February 27, 2026. Your continued use of LF Lending services after this Privacy Notice or any updated version becomes effective means that you acknowledge the applicable terms. Where required by law, platform policy, or the nature of the data processing, LF Lending will request your separate consent before processing specific categories of personal data.

Personal Data Collection and Usage

Device Information

Purpose: LF Lending collects limited device information to verify your device, protect your account, prevent fraudulent loan applications, detect abnormal device environments, and maintain the security and reliability of loan-related operations.

When Used: Device information may be collected when you register or log in, submit a loan application, request a credit limit adjustment, change your login device, or perform other sensitive account or loan-related operations.

Data Collected: The device information we collect may include device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), device language, network type, device security status, and basic app operation logs. If permitted by iOS and only after required user consent, we may process the advertising identifier for attribution and campaign measurement. We do not collect IMEI, IMSI, SMS, call logs, contact list data, or installed application lists on iOS.

Protection: All device information is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Device risk records are retained only for as long as necessary for account security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Routine device risk records are generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required for fraud investigation, regulatory compliance, or legal obligations.

User Control: You may limit certain device-related data collection by adjusting your device settings, such as location, advertising ID, or network permissions where applicable. However, some basic device and security information is necessary for account protection, fraud prevention, and loan service security, and may still be processed when you use LF Lending services.

Camera Access

Purpose: LF Lending uses camera access only for identity verification and fraud prevention. Specifically, the camera may be used to capture your government-issued ID document and perform a liveness check or selfie verification to confirm that the applicant is the real account holder and to prevent impersonation, identity fraud, and unauthorized loan applications.

When Used: The camera is activated only when you manually start the in-app identity verification process, such as taking a photo of your ID document, taking a selfie, or completing a liveness check. LF Lending does not activate the camera in the background, does not continuously record, and does not use the camera without your explicit action.

Data Collected: The data collected through the camera may include images of your government-issued ID document, selfie images, and, where required by the liveness verification process, limited liveness detection data. These data are used only for identity verification, fraud prevention, account security, and compliance with applicable lending and customer due diligence requirements.

Protection: Photos and liveness verification data captured through the camera are encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. LF Lending will not sell, rent, or disclose your images to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. We may share such data only with our contracted identity-verification service providers, who are bound by data protection obligations, or with competent authorities where required by Philippine law, regulatory requirements, or legal process.

Permission Control: Camera permission is requested only when you start the identity verification feature. You may deny or revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings. However, if camera access is denied or revoked, you may be unable to complete identity verification, which may affect your ability to submit or complete a loan application.

File Upload via System Picker

Purpose: LF Lending allows you to voluntarily upload specific files or images for identity verification, loan application review, repayment confirmation, or customer support. These files may include supplementary identity documents, proof of payment, or screenshots related to a service issue.

When Used: This feature is used only when you actively choose to upload a file or image in the LF Lending app. LF Lending does not request broad photo, video, media, or external storage permissions, and does not scan, read, or access your photo gallery, videos, or files stored on your device.

Data Collected: We only receive the specific file or image that you select and submit through the iOS system picker, file picker, or other platform-provided upload mechanism. We do not collect other photos, videos, files, album metadata, or media library contents from your device.

Protection: The files you upload are encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Uploaded files are used only for the purpose for which they were submitted, such as identity verification, repayment confirmation, dispute handling, or customer support. We retain these files only for as long as necessary to process your request, unless a longer retention period is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, regulatory obligations, dispute resolution, or loan recordkeeping.

User Control: You decide whether to upload a file or image. Because LF Lending uses the system picker or file picker, you can select only the specific file you want to submit. If you do not upload the required document or proof, this may affect our ability to complete identity verification, process your loan application, verify repayment, or resolve your support request.

Approximate Location

Purpose: LF Lending may collect approximate location information, with your consent, to confirm service availability within the Philippines, detect unusual or cross-regional account activity, prevent fraud, and support account and transaction security.

When Used: Approximate location may be collected when you register or log in, submit a loan application, request a credit limit adjustment, perform repayment-related operations, or access region-specific services provided by LF Lending.

Data Collected: We collect approximate location data only, such as coarse location signals or obfuscated latitude and longitude with limited precision. LF Lending does not request or collect precise GPS location.

Protection: Approximate location data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Routine location risk records are generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required for fraud investigation, account security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or regulatory obligations.

User Control: You may disable location access for LF Lending at any time through your device settings. Disabling approximate location access will not affect basic account access, but it may limit our ability to verify loan-related transactions, detect abnormal account activity, prevent fraud, or provide region-specific services.

Emergency Contact Information

Purpose: LF Lending may collect emergency contact information to support account verification, account recovery, identity confirmation, fraud prevention, and lawful repayment-related communication when necessary.

When Used: Emergency contact information is provided only when you manually enter it or actively select a specific contact through a system-provided contact picker. LF Lending does not request access to your device contact list, does not scan your address book, and does not use the Contacts permission.

Data Collected: The emergency contact information we collect may include the contact’s name, mobile number, relationship to you, and other information you voluntarily provide for account verification or repayment-related communication.

Use Limitation: We may contact your emergency contact only when reasonably necessary, such as for account recovery, identity confirmation, fraud prevention, or lawful repayment-related communication. We will not use emergency contact information for marketing, advertising, harassment, public disclosure, public shaming, or unrelated purposes.

Protection: Emergency contact information is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. We will not sell, rent, or disclose emergency contact information to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. We may disclose such information only where required by Philippine law, regulatory requirements, legal process, or to authorized service providers who are contractually required to protect the data and use it only for the stated purpose.

User Responsibility: Before providing emergency contact information, you should ensure that the contact is aware that their information may be submitted to LF Lending for the purposes described above.

Saving Repayment Codes to Photo Library

Purpose: LF Lending may request permission to add images to your photo library so that you can save repayment codes generated within the app for loan repayment purposes.

When Used: Photo library additions access may be used when you choose to save a repayment code, repayment reference image, or repayment instruction image generated by LF Lending to your device’s photo library.

Data Added: LF Lending may add only the specific repayment-related image that you choose to save from within the app. This may include a repayment code, payment reference image, or repayment instruction image generated for your loan repayment.

Permission and Scope Limitation: LF Lending uses this permission only to save the selected repayment code or repayment-related image to your photo library. LF Lending does not use Photo Library Additions access to read, scan, browse, collect, upload, or analyze your existing photos, videos, albums, screenshots, or other media stored in your photo library.

Protection: The repayment code or repayment-related image is generated by LF Lending and saved to your device’s photo library only when you choose to save it. LF Lending protects related loan and repayment records through secure transmission, access controls, and authorized server storage in accordance with our privacy and security practices.

User Control: You can choose whether to allow LF Lending to add repayment codes or repayment-related images to your photo library. You may manage or revoke this permission at any time in your iOS device settings. If permission is not granted, you can still use LF Lending services, but you may not be able to save repayment codes directly to your photo library.

Tracking Usage Description

Purpose: LF Lending may request tracking permission to measure advertising campaign performance, understand how users discover LF Lending, and prevent promotional abuse. Tracking permission is not required to access LF Lending’s core loan services.

When Used: Tracking permission may be requested when you install or open the app, register or log in, or interact with promotional campaigns, where advertising attribution or campaign measurement may be required.

Data Used: If you allow tracking, LF Lending may use limited app-related identifiers, such as the device advertising identifier, app installation attribution data, campaign attribution data, device-related signals, and basic usage events. These data may be processed with authorized analytics, attribution, advertising, or fraud-prevention partners to measure campaign effectiveness and prevent promotional abuse.

Permission and Scope Limitation: LF Lending requests tracking permission only for advertising attribution, campaign measurement, and promotional abuse prevention. LF Lending does not use tracking permission to access your private photos, contacts, messages, call history, financial account passwords, personal files, or content stored in other applications. LF Lending does not sell your personal loan information to advertisers.

Protection: Tracking-related data is transmitted securely and processed only by LF Lending and authorized service providers under appropriate security and confidentiality controls. It is used only for advertising attribution, campaign measurement, service analytics, and promotional abuse prevention. Routine tracking and attribution records are retained only for as long as necessary for campaign measurement, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or regulatory obligations.

User Control: You can choose whether to allow tracking. You may manage or revoke tracking permission at any time in your iOS device settings. If you do not allow tracking, you can still use LF Lending’s core loan services, but LF Lending may have limited ability to measure advertising performance, identify promotional abuse, or personalize campaign-related experiences.

  • This consent is effective from the date of your agreement and remains valid for the duration of your loan agreement (including repayment period) + 1 year, or a specified period as required by law;
  • You have the right to revoke this consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer (DPO);
  • The risk-control service is limited to phone number, email address, and basic loan application information, unless additional data is separately disclosed and consented to. Our authorized service providers are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data and to use it only for the purposes specified in this Privacy Notice.

Individual Rights and Control

You have the right to request information about the third-party service providers we use and the specific data shared with them. To exercise these rights, you may contact our DPO at the email address specified in Clause 14.

Changes to Personal Data

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of your personal data registered with LF Lending. You have the right to request corrections, updates or supplements to your personal information at any time. To update your data, please contact our DPO at dpo@lflendingservices.com, and provide the following verification materials (to ensure account security):

  • Your registered full name and mobile number;
  • Scanned copy of your government-issued ID (matching the ID used for account registration);
  • Supporting documents for the updated information (if applicable).

We will review and process your data change request within 3 working days upon receipt of complete and valid verification materials.

You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by sending a written request to our DPO via the official email address. However, please note that:

  • Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide you with lending services. For example, if you withdraw consent for identity verification, we may not be able to process your loan application.
  • For ongoing contractual obligations (e.g., an outstanding loan agreement), we will continue to process your personal data as required by the loan agreement and Philippine laws until the contractual obligations are fully fulfilled;
  • Withdrawal of consent will not affect the validity of personal data processing conducted before the withdrawal.

Security Measures

We adopt a multi-layered data security protection system including physical, technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction. The specific measures include:

  • Physical security: Restricted access to data storage facilities, 24/7 monitoring and data backup;
  • Technical security: Data encryption (in transmission and storage), firewalls, anti-virus systems, and regular security vulnerability scans;
  • Organizational security: Strict internal data access permissions, regular data protection training for employees, and a dedicated data protection team.

However, no security system is completely invulnerable. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal data due to factors beyond our reasonable control (e.g., network attacks, computer viruses, or unauthorized third-party access). We will promptly notify you and take remedial measures in accordance with the law in the event of a data security breach.

Data Portability

In accordance with the DPA, you have the right to request LF Lending to provide your personal data (processed by us) in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (e.g., CSV, Excel). We will also provide your personal data to a third party designated by you where technically feasible and in compliance with the law.

To exercise this right, please contact our DPO with a written request (including the format of the data and the designated third-party information), and we will process your request within 7 working days upon verification of your identity.

Profiling

We may use automated processing, including profiling, to assess your creditworthiness, loan eligibility and fraud risk (in accordance with Philippine lending and credit laws). The profiling is based on your personal data, loan application information, and credit history (in cooperation with licensed credit bureaus).

You may object to such automated profiling processing at any time by contacting our DPO. However, please note that objection to profiling may prevent us from providing you with lending services, as we will not be able to conduct a reasonable credit and risk assessment for your loan application.

Account Deletion and Data Retention

Right to Account Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your LF Lending account at any time after all your loan obligations (including principal and interest) are fully fulfilled, through the functionality provided within our app and/or official website. Upon receiving your valid request, we will take steps to close your account and erase personal data that we are not legally required to retain.

Two Account Deletion Options:

  1. In-App Account Deletion

    1. Open the LF Lending app and log in to your account;
    2. Go to “Profile” > “Setting” > “Account Deletion”;
    3. Complete the identity verification (e.g., SMS verification);
    4. Confirm your deletion decision as prompted (the system will issue a final confirmation notice).
  2. Web-Based Account Deletion Request

    2. Fill in your registered information and complete identity verification;
    3. Submit the deletion request.

Data We Must Retain After Deletion Request

As a licensed financial service provider in the Philippines, we are required to retain certain personal data for a specific period in accordance with Philippine laws and regulatory obligations (even after you request account deletion), primarily for compliance, security, and fraud prevention purposes. We will not retain any data beyond the statutory retention period, and all retained data shall be stored securely.

The categorized retained data, purpose and retention period are as follows:

Data That Is Deleted

Any data not subject to the mandatory retention periods described above will be permanently and securely deleted from our systems immediately after account deletion, including (but not limited to):

  • App usage analytics not tied to loan transactions;
  • Your marketing preferences and opt-in records;
  • Session cookies and temporary cache files;
  • Unverified personal information and draft application materials.

Secure Disposal

After the mandatory retention period expires, we will ensure that all your personal data is disposed of in a secure manner (e.g., permanent data erasure, physical destruction of storage media) that prevents its further use, access, or disclosure. No retained data will be used for any business purpose after the retention period.

Suspension, Withdrawal, or Deletion of Personal Data by LF Lending

We reserve the right to suspend, block, or delete your personal data from our systems immediately (without prior notice) if we become aware, or reasonably suspect, that the data:

  • Is incomplete, outdated, false, or forged (e.g., fake government ID used for account registration);
  • Is unlawfully obtained or used for unauthorized/fraudulent purposes (e.g., using another person’s ID to apply for a loan);
  • Is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected (after the fulfillment of all statutory and contractual obligations);
  • Is processed with your consent that has been withdrawn, and there is no other legal ground or overriding legitimate interest for the continued processing.

In the event of the above circumstances, we may also suspend or terminate your LF Lending account in accordance with our service terms, and reserve the right to pursue legal liability against you for any losses caused to LF Lending.
